You volunteer as a junior network tech at Cedar Hollow Public Library. A self-checkout kiosk (10.20.30.117) on the branch LAN has been acting up, and staff report it sometimes “talks to the old annex switch.” You run a protocol analyzer on the branch uplink and use display filters to isolate exactly the traffic you need — then read the capture to answer what's really going on.
