A contractor re-terminated patch cabling in the Aspen Wing intermediate distribution frame (IDF) over the weekend. This morning the public-access workstation PAW-Aspen-12 at the reference desk has no link. You have a console session open to the access switch idf-aspen-sw1 (out-of-band, no IP needed). Work the problem bottom-up: rule out the physical cable first, then inspect the switch configuration and restore service. Console login — user netops, password Cavern$8x (both case-sensitive).
