Continuous scanning is what feeds rogue-AP detection, AP locationing, and self-healing. Static channels skip all of that.
Spread clients off saturated radios, and nudge dual-band devices to the faster band so 2.4 GHz doesn't get crowded.
Neighbor overlap is how strongly each AP hears the next-closest AP on its channel. The closer to 0 dB, the more they step on each other. Trim transmit power on the worst offenders to cut co-channel interference.
